Is the free version really free?
Yes. The free version has no time limit, no account and no feature trial — the niche research tools stay free. Pro is an optional one-time upgrade.
Which Amazon stores does it work on?
All 12 major Amazon marketplaces, including amazon.com, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .ca, .com.au and .co.jp. Sales estimates for smaller stores carry wider ranges and are marked lower-confidence.
How accurate are the sales estimates?
No outside tool can see Amazon's sales data, so estimates are modelled from sales rank and shown as ranges, never single numbers. Review counts, ratings, prices and ranks are read straight from the page.
Does the AI need an API key or send my book anywhere?
No. Category Scout AI uses the AI built into Chrome and runs on your own computer. We never receive your conversation or your book data.
What does “one payment” include?
Lifetime use of the Pro version you buy, 12 months of major updates and email support, and compatibility fixes where reasonably possible. It keeps working after that with no subscription.
Will I need to re-enter my licence key after an update?
